Based on true events and adapted from an episode of This American Life, Crown Heights tells the true story of Colin Warner who was wrongfully convicted of murder and spends the next 20 years of his life in prison, and how his best friend, Carl King, devotes his life to proving Colin's innocence. The film premiered in competition at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and won the Audience Award for U.S. Dramatic Film. Starring Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Nnamdi Asomugha.
